5 Month Absorption rate for East Grand Rapids MI housing market

 which means if no new listings come on the East Grand Rapids market, it will

take 5 months for the existing home inventory to sell.  The Absorption rate is

in normal range for East Grand Rapids homes.

 

There are 119 active listings on the East Grand Rapids market,

 a smaller inventory  than 3 months ago  ranging from

$67,000 to $3,500,000.

From 9 AM to 5 PM, East Grand Rapids Michigan will transform its

Lakeside Park into a feast for the art lover.  The annual Reeds Lake

Clothesline Art Festival will be held at John Collins Park in East

Grand Rapids, Saturday, June 19th, 2010. 

 

This juried art fair, put on by and for Grand Valley Artists is a

local favorite because of the picturesque lakeside venue and the

wonderful selection of jewelry, photography, glass, pottery,

 painting, watercolors, sculpture  and more. 

 This year the festival is celebrating their 45th anniversary.

 

 

There is public parking in the ramp near the Regatta Plaza,

which is a short walk from the site and in the middle of the

Wealthy Street merchants and restaurants in Gaslight Village.

 

                        Held rain or shine.

 

Over 140 artists from all over the country. Some will be old favorites,

others will be new to  West Michigan.  If art tickles your interests, or

you have a blank spot looking for that special piece….come out on

slower rate. We are still seeing sold price erosion in the homes priced

over $200,000.

The Absorption rate is over the normal range for East Grand Rapids

homes by 2 months.  This shows an uptick in inventory and no uptick

 in sales to match.

at this point, something we haven’t seenfor a  few years. It looks like

East Grand Rapids is coming out ofthe the recent real estate downturn

on a faster pace than otherlocal communities.
