We are so busy and distracted in our lives, we often walk right by things that
are interesting or novel. It just takes a moment to notice and it can
certainly change your outlook and maybe.... make you smile.
We were in a store shopping for kitchen hardware for a new listing the other day.
It was a cold, windy day and we were backing out of our parking spot, when we
noticed two little ones that had found a warm, safe place to sit for a few moments.
This close up below shows them much better.
Were the tires warm?
Are they looking for food ?
We don't know the answers but it gave us a little different perspective on the day.
We were inside a nice warm car with a nice warm lunch we had just finished. These two little
sparrows were happy to find a temporary shelter hoping to glean a crumb or two from
people coming and going in the parking lot. The natural world is just a glance away.
Are you looking??

Terry - Nature is never very far away ... we just have to take the time to see all that is offered.
Terry, we see things like this quite often, usually when it gets colder so I am thinking that the tires are warm or something to that effect.
I guess they were just watching the world go by from their little resting spot.
Great photo. Surely this would make this a perfect entry in some photo contest somewhere.
Having turned into an avid birder, I am a bit ashamed that for much of my adult life, I never really noticed birds. They all looked like sparrows or were brown to me. Now I see them everywhere I go, and a huge variety of birds. Sometimes we need to tune out the world and look at it from a different perspective. Nature, it's all around us if only we would look.
Great post, Terry!
Very nice story and post thanks for sharing, we should all try to see things differently a mind like a parachute only works when it's open...
Hi Terry - I would have missed them if not for the close up! Very cool!
Debi
Kathy: we do get busy and miss some of what is happening right next to us.
Tony and Darcy: That's what I thought the tires were warm and it was a nice protected place. What goes on in a birds brain?
Jenny: we were too and if I had not looked closely they would have been missed.
Margaret: I wonder how many opportunities we have every day to take photos like this and miss them?
Elizabeth: We have snow and winter months coming. We feed the birds and have them close to our windows all winter long. I guess we do take them for granted.
Caron: Good to have it working once in a while.
Debi: We almost missed them but we thought it was a cute photo.
